To convert an oven recipe to the air fryer, lower the temperature by 25 °F (about 15 °C) and cut the cooking time by roughly 20 percent, then start checking a few minutes early. An air fryer is a small convection oven: the fan moves hot air fast, so food browns sooner and cooks quicker than the oven numbers suggest.

375 °F (190 °C), 25 min 350 °F (175 °C) about 20 min

°F and °C pairs you'll see everywhere

Fahrenheit Celsius
320 °F 160 °C
350 °F 175 °C
356 °F 180 °C
375 °F 190 °C
390 °F 200 °C
400 °F 205 °C

The formula, if you prefer it: °C = (°F - 32) × 5/9. Air fryer models round differently, so treat 355 and 360 °F as the same setting in practice.

When the rule needs adjusting

  • Baked goods: drop the temperature a little more and cover if the top browns before the middle sets.
  • Large roasts: keep the lower temperature but expect closer to the original oven time; mass needs time regardless of the fan.
  • Anything battered and wet: oven-style batters drip through the basket. Use breaded coatings instead.

No math at the fryer. All of Brasa's recipes are written for the air fryer from the start, with temperature in both °F and °C on every card. And when a recipe uses cups but your kitchen thinks in grams, the built-in converter handles cups, tablespoons, milliliters, grams, ounces and pounds.
