Privacy policy
This policy explains what data the Brasa: Air Fryer Recipes mobile app (package
air.fryer.app, for iOS and Android) and this website collect, why, who it is shared with, and the
choices you have. The app is operated by an independent developer ("we", "us"). Contact: eserdeiro@gmail.com.
1. Data we collect and why
1.1 Device information
To keep your saved content available and to block abusive access, we store basic technical information about your device: platform, operating-system version, device model and brand, and app version. Nothing in it identifies you personally.
1.2 Content you create in the app
Favorites, weekly plan entries, shopping-list items, custom tags, recipe notes, "I cooked this" marks and 1-to-5 ratings are stored securely so the app can restore them. Onboarding answers (dietary preference, cooking frequency, favorite ingredients) are stored locally on your device.
1.3 AI Chef and conversation content
When you use AI Chef, the text of your messages is sent to our servers, operated through Supabase, and to Google Gemini to generate replies. Conversations are stored under an anonymous app identifier to provide conversation history and manage usage limits. We do not sell this content, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes. It is processed only by the providers identified below as necessary to operate and provide AI Chef. Do not include personal or sensitive information that you do not want to be processed.
1.4 Brasa Pro purchases
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat receives and reports purchase and subscription-status information to us so that we can enable Brasa Pro. We do not receive or store your complete card or payment-method details.
1.5 Usage analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand which screens and features are used (for example, screen views and in-app feedback ratings). This data is aggregated and tied to app instance identifiers, not to your name.
1.6 Crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs and device state at the moment of a crash so we can fix bugs.
1.7 Push notifications
If you grant the notification permission, Firebase Cloud Messaging issues a push token for your device so the app can receive notifications. Declining the permission does not limit any cooking feature.
1.8 Advertising
The app shows ads served through Google AdMob and Wortise. These partners may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID on Android, where the system AD_ID permission applies), approximate device information and ad-interaction data to serve, cap and measure ads. Where the law or the platform requires consent for personalized advertising, ads are limited or non-personalized until consent is given. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings at any time.
1.9 App configuration and updates
The app periodically downloads configuration values and app updates. The services involved receive standard connection data (such as your IP address) when the app contacts them.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email (in the app), phone number, contacts or address book.
- No precise location.
- No photos, camera or microphone access. The app requests none of these permissions.
- No complete card or payment-method details. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google.
Note for iOS users: the system may list a Face ID usage description for this app. It exists because the app uses the device's protected storage; the app does not use facial recognition and never accesses biometric data itself.
2. Third parties we share data with
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) | Usage analytics, crash reporting, push notifications | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Wortise | Advertising | wortise.com/privacy |
| Supabase | Anonymous authentication, storage and backend services | supabase.com/privacy |
| Google Gemini | Processing AI Chef messages to generate replies | policies.google.com/privacy |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscription status and entitlements | revenuecat.com/privacy |
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors above, to run the app, or if the law requires it.
3. Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar laws apply: we process your saved content, AI Chef conversations and subscription status to perform our contract with you (providing the app and its purchased features); analytics, crash reporting and app improvement under our legitimate interest in running a working product; and advertising personalization and notifications based on consent, where consent is required.
4. Your rights and controls
- Notifications: revoke the permission in system settings at any time.
- Advertising ID: reset or limit it in your device's privacy settings.
- Anything about your data: email eserdeiro@gmail.com to exercise any right under your local law (GDPR, CCPA and equivalents).
5. Children
The app is a general-audience cooking app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will delete the associated data.
6. International transfers
The processors listed above may store data on servers in the United States or other countries. Where required, transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards described in their policies.
7. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but the app is designed to hold as little data about you as possible.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date, and material changes will be flagged inside the app. The effective date at the top always tells you the current version.
